WATER
SPEZIFICATION

All high pressure parts of a jet cutter are exposed to a high cyclical stress. Their life-time is limited through the contact of the parts with the cutting water. To reach a maximum life-time of these parts it is necessary to control the quality of the cutting water.

In general it is recommended to use drinking water that meets following requirments:

Alkaline mg/l 10
Calcium mg/l 0,5
Carbon dioxide mg/l 0
Chloride as Cl mg/l 1
Free Chlorine mg/l 0,05
Iron als Fe mg/l 0,01
Manganese als Mn mg/l 0,1
Magnesium als Mg mg/l 0,1
Nitrate mg/l 10
Oxygen mg/l 0,1
PH-value 6,5-8,5
Quartz mg/l 1
Sodium mg/l 1
Sulfate mg/l 1
Amount of free particles 5, this value can not fall below
Water hardness as CACO3 1
Cloudiness (NTU) 1

The quality of the water can be determined with a water analysis that can be done by local institutes, laboratories or companies in your area. If you can not meet this requirements, we recommend that you purchase a water purification system from a local company that offers  maintenance of the equipment as well.

The maximum life-time of the high pressure parts can only by guaranteed if the quality of the cutting water meets these minimum spezification.
